It's nice to serve cold canape' along with hot.
I call this size french bread a "poor boy",
narrower than your typical french bread.
Term comes from New Orleans, poor people couldn't afford the full size bread.

I use tomato paste,
ricotta cheese,
fresh basil,
prosiutto ham.
