cholent or beef and bean stew( my style)

a mixture of beans, barley, potato and beef the makings of a delicious stew. similar to cholent

1 c. ea. dry red beans, lima brans, barely, yellow split peas.
1 lb. onion,
7-8 garlic cloves,
8 oz. carrots,
1 lb. white potato,
1 qt. tomato sauce,
about 1&1/2qts. of stock or water,
3/4 lb. stew meat,
4-5 oz. mushrooms,
1 c. dry red wine,
1 T. dry thyme leaves
4 bay leaf,
1 T. hot sauce.

Correction on the timing----total of 7 hrs. for me on my crock pot.
