Cabbage And Potato Soup

The yield is a little over 3 qts.

1 lb. white cabbage,
1 & 1/2 lb. peeled potato,
4 oz. celery,
2 oz. bacon,
3/4 lb. onion,
1/2 heaping cup leeks ( white part ),
2 tsp. thyme,
1 tsp. ground bay leaves,

After 1st. boil, cook on low heat for 30 minutes
