Make Dashi From Scratch

Sorry for black and white video. Dashi is the stock used in Japanese cooking to make all seafood and fish dishes and other dishes. If you buy ready dashi powder it probably has msg and if it doesn\'t say msg it has what makes up msg to trick you, so be careful. This will yield 3 qts. dashi.
4 qts. cold water, 3 oz. bonito flakes, 3 oz. kombu/konbu. You can purchase these items online with no problem.
