Pork Spareribs With Tiny White Dry Beans

Easy recipe that every pork and bean eater will enjoy. Enough for 4 portion with left over beans ( maybe ) My cost $16.52 from Costco
Prep time depends on the individual. Cooking time is 1&1/2 hrs. after you start simmering. Tight lid keeps you from adding more liquid. 5&1/2 qt. pot will suffice. Baby back ribs won't give the same finished product.
1 full rack of spareribs,
2 T. chopped fresh garlic ( not that chopped crap in a jar ),
5 oz. diced onion ( any size ),
3 oz. celery,
1 qt. of pork, chicken, vegetable stock or water,
1/2 tsp. ground bay leaves or 3 bay leaves,
2 T. butter,
1/2 to 1 tsp. black pepper,
1/2 T. salt on ribs,
1/2 tsp, salt for beans,
1 tsp. dry basil, or use your favorite herbs or none at all

Use the broiler setting for 10 minutes
I used it the last 5 minutes. Not enough color.
