DIY Semolina Bagels

Made in bread machine at dough setting. These are different then the usual bagel. Can't get out during Covid 19. Make your own bagels. I live at sea level and in N.Y. where it is known that pizza and bagels are the best. This recipe was made at sea level so if your at higher elevations adjustments have to be made. My cost $1.10 cents

1 c. semolina/durum wheat flour,
1 c. bread flour,
2 T. honey,
2 tsp. salt,
1&1/2 c. water + 2 T. ,
1&1/2 tsp. granulated yeast.
After forming balls let rise for 45 minutes at room temperature, I set my convection oven to 375 to 400 degrees. Add 2 T. sugar to boil water. Pot large enough so bagels can swim freely. Boil for 1&1/2 minutes each side. Sit for 10 minutes before baking. After 10 minutes turn over for another 15 minutes.
